The Citadel Center for Strategic Studies and Sustainable Development

The Citadel Center for Strategic Studies is a think-tank, a research and training center which is newly established in Iraq-Anbar, as an independent international non-profit organization center concerned with political, social, economic issues and sustainable development at the regional and international levels. The Center presents scholarly and scientific assessments of relevant issues and futuristic perspectives, moreover, the center seeks to conduct research, organizes scholarly events. In addition to its role as a knowledge broker in order to narrow the gap between the grassroots, societal elites, civil society organizations, and government institutions, in order to activate.

The Center aims to generate up-to-date information, reliable data, insightful analysis, and strategies for implementing goals, as a think-tank. The Citadel Center functions as a forum for candid debates and discussion and exchange thoughts for anyone who is interested in sustainable development. The Citadel Center serves as an indispensable think-tank and research center given its role promoting interaction and mutual benefits among the Iraqi governmental institution, NGOs, other think-tanks, and the broader scientific community and hence strengthens the human and intellectual.

:The Citadel Center for Strategic Studies delivers on its objectives

Providing scholarly studies on political, economic, social and environment challenges, and promoting solutions to public policy challenges, and contributing in enhancing public knowledge.
Raise awareness on gender equality and the Importance of women’s role in political field and decision making, and making innovative and workable policy recommendations in order to empowering them socially and politically, and enhancing their role in decision-making.
·Raising awareness of the knowledge economy, paying attention to youth, through providing consultation for overcoming economic and intellectual obstacles, urging them to innovate, and transferring global experiences to develop them in various fields..
·Activating community participation between civil society organizations, think tanks, and government institutions..
Participation in raising societal awareness about the importance of achieving sustainable development goals.
Erasing digital illiteracy among men & women, reducing the gap between them, raising knowledge awareness of the positive and safe use of the digital network, and enabling.
Carrying out training programs, workshops, and seminars to empower young people to overcome economic and intellectual obstacles and transfer global experiences to develop them in various fields.
Disseminating data and relevant information on SDGs in Iraq, and the wider region through printed, electronic, and audio-visual publication of research reports, journals, blogs, pamphlets, books, policy watch briefings and seminar proceedings.

Achieving Goals:

The Citadel Center for Strategic Studies has the following producers to achieve its goals:

Determining field research, measurement operations, and public opinion polling..
Holding training and development courses, conferences, seminars, local and international workshops..
Issuing scientific, cultural and economic studies and research and organizing educational programs, in addition to gender studies and women’s capacities building.
Providing leadership training and developing youth leadership skills in government and non-government institutions.
Establishing partnerships, agreements cooperation programs with international specialized centers and reputable international universities.
Engaging academic experts, policymakers, and civil society leaders in debates, seminars, and conferences..
Launching websites and establishing a library that includes books and studies related to the center’s work.
Facilitating networking between local think tanks, Universities, and NGOs with regional and international ones.
Creating strategic partnerships with a variety of institutional and individual stakeholders – change makers who share a common set of values and objectives.
